This article mainly focuses money spent in Iraq war and future money to be spent on the Iraq war. The Pentagon is spending about 5 billions dollar a month on Iraq and Afghanistan. The lost that could reach total of 60 billion dollars. Bush has also asked for another 87 billion dollar from congress regarding war in Iraq for next year. All of these cost have also threatened other programs to close. There have also been extra money spend on reconstruction in Iraq and Afghanistan. Basically, we are spending so much amount of money on war and that is affecting our economy.
This news is from USA Today.
Personally, I thought that the second article was a little biased. It talked about how much money we spend on war in Iraq as extremely bad. It gave all the negatives on that. After all, why are we spending so much money? What is our purpose? I mean there has to be a reason we are doing this. The Second article sort of takes side on war in Iraq.
