What If...

What if we just started a revolution? I feel like, as powerless as the people may feel they are...it is just the opposite. I believe we are fully capable of demanding that new ideas, and new tactics be administered over in Iraq. We have nothing to lose, because whatever it is that we are doing over there at this present moment is only resulting in a stalemate (or so it would appear that way).

I feel like we entered the war too soon, and that was a costly mistake (both on lives and the economy). But people learn from their mistakes right? People do...but does the government?

Like I said, I think it's time for a revolution.

  1. Revolutions have been as simple as shortening the hem line of a women's skirt to as drastic as allowing women's sufferage. All of these revolutions were casued by war. This connection occurs due to the fact that once soliders and the nation begin to readjust to life after a war they realize where problems, no matter how futile they are, in our nation are. The idea of revolution is seen in art and culture and is the main focus within our Project 1. I believed you nailed a very BIG concept that spawns from war.

  2. There is a flaw, however, with my somewhat radical notion of an idea - major revolutions typically lead to wars. For example, the Industrial Revolution led up to WWI.

I want to say that currently, we're having a Tecnological Revolution...and I can only imagine what kinds of wars will spawn from it, if they haven't already begun.
